An indictment was filed against Daria Barbury on suspicion that she incapacitated a man she met on the dating app, and after he lost consciousness she stole his property and withdrew thousands of shekels from his account.
An indictment was filed against Daria Barbury, who according to the indictment met the complainant on the dating app 'Catch Chat' on May 24 of this year, and after they corresponded on Telegram they agreed to meet in an apartment in Tel Aviv rented by the hour. Around 11:28 p.m. he arrived at the apartment riding a scooter and carrying a helmet, with a wallet containing a credit card. According to the indictment, Barbury incapacitated him by pouring him an alcoholic drink; after he drank it he felt an unusual aftertaste, but she calmed him and claimed it was honey-flavored whiskey, and he began to feel unwell, suffering from hot flashes and dizziness and having difficulty functioning and speaking.
According to the indictment, Barbury pressed the complainant to drink another glass, and he lost consciousness after drinking it. While he was unconscious, she used his phone to view the secret code of his credit card, took from him the card, the scooter and the helmet without his consent and left the apartment with them. From an ATM in Tel Aviv she withdrew 5,000 shekels from his account, tried to withdraw another 5,000 shekels, 3,000 shekels and 1,000 shekels which were refused, and made a credit transaction of 470 shekels from his account. She is accused of incapacitating with intent to commit a crime and theft.
