Strategist Shlomo Filber argued that the proposal by Knesset member Avigdor Lieberman to transfer to Jordan security and administrative responsibility in areas B and C in Judea and Samaria is not a slip of the tongue but a strategic blow to him.
Filber said in remarks delivered on Now 14 that Lieberman's statement regarding areas B and C cannot be interpreted as a passing mistake. 'This is not another slip of the tongue,' Filber determined, and added: 'This is a strategic blow to him. He said something no one has said in the past 40 years.' According to the report, the remarks come against the backdrop of a political storm that broke out following Lieberman's proposal to enlist Jordan to manage the area in Judea and Samaria, with those in his circle hastening to clarify that the intention was areas A and B only and that Israeli control would be maintained over area C, and in the nationalist camp sharp criticism is being leveled at the proposal.
