According to the report, throughout the war Awad actively participated in holding hostages Daniella Galboe, Karina Ariev, Doron Steinbrecher, Naama Levy, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran and Itan Mor, who were held in an underground tunnel in the Gaza City area. Recently he promoted terror plots against IDF forces and dealt with rehabilitating Hamas capabilities while systematically violating the ceasefire agreement, and due to the immediate threat he posed was eliminated in an air strike.
