A game called 'Super Yaniv' went online in which Yaniv Chion, in pixel form, jumps on angry co-pilots, grows thanks to shawarma, throws falafel balls and reaches the cockpit to save the flight from the boss 'The Crazy Pilot'. In reality, according to reports, the Omani co-pilot stabbed the captain, and Chion was among the passengers who helped overpower the attacker. A game called 'Super Yaniv' that went online transfers the heroic story of Yaniv Chion from Flight Dubai to the world of Super Mario, in which Yaniv jumps on co-pilots, grows thanks to shawarma and saves the flight.
The game 'Super Yaniv', available for free in a browser and on a phone, is built according to the rules and appearance of Super Mario, but instead of Mario, Yaniv stars as a pixel character with a beard, white shirt and jeans. According to the opening screen, 'Yaniv boarded a Flight Dubai flight, and then the pilot went crazy and refuses to land', and only he can reach the cockpit and save the flight. Among the enemies on the way are angry co-pilots and rampaging luggage carts.
The first level takes place in the passenger cabin, where Yaniv breaks bricks of Dubai chocolate with pistachio filling and also visits a Dubai duty-free shop. From there he moves to the belly of the plane, where suitcases fall from a conveyor, and to the cockpit, where the boss 'The Crazy Pilot' throws paper airplanes. Shawarma enlarges Yaniv like Mario's mushroom, falafel allows him to throw falafel balls and hummus grants extra lives.
In reality, according to ynet, the Omani co-pilot stabbed Captain Samit McCarthy on Sept. 30, who according to the president's office fought the attacker and opened the cockpit door. Chion, who describes himself as an 'upgraded plumber', told at Ben-Gurion Airport that he grabbed the attacker in a chokehold until a pilot on the plane took control. Another crew member later landed the plane safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, according to ynet.
On maariv's TMI site they called Chion the 'Israeli Super Mario' after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu endorsed him online as a plumber. U.S. President Donald Trump posted a video in which he said about Chion: 'He's a great guy. He could be my plumber.' President Isaac Herzog announced that he would recommend to the advisory committee to award Chion and additional passengers the Presidential Medal for Civilian Bravery.
