Suspected Arson at Synagogue in Germany; 37-Year-Old Afghan Citizen Arrested
According to police, the suspect poured an accelerant on the steps at the entrance to the synagogue in Wuppertal and set it on fire. Community members extinguished the fire and no one was injured. The president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany called the act an "arson attack" and warned against "normalization of antisemitism."
