The Central-Lod District Court approved management of the claim against the Triaa loans platform as a class action, determining that there is apparent evidence of a gap between promises of immediate liquidity to investors and prolonged waits in practice to withdraw funds.
The Central-Lod District Court approved Thursday the management of the claim against Triaa, a peer-to-peer loan brokerage platform, as a class action. The decision determined that there is apparent evidence that despite the company's advertisements promising immediate liquidity to investors, investors in practice had to wait long periods to withdraw their investment funds. The decision also stated that "the company should have anticipated macro-economic events; and should have clarified in its advertisements that withdrawal of funds is conditional on finding another investor and not commit in advance to fixed withdrawal times."
