According to the statement, the operatives advanced terrorist routes against IDF forces and Israeli citizens and worked to increase the capabilities of the organization's operatives and restore its capabilities.
Operative Muhammad Jamal Ahmad Eid, a Nukhba commander in Hamas's military wing, was eliminated on Wednesday in the Al-Bureij area. According to the IDF, Eid infiltrated Israeli territory in the October 7 massacre.
The day before, Salah Ziad Ibrahim Miqdad, a squad commander in the naval unit of the terrorist organization's military wing, was eliminated in the Gaza City area. The IDF noted that the operatives' activity constituted 'a systematic violation of the ceasefire' and that 'the operatives were eliminated to remove the threat they posed.'
According to IDF Spokesman, before the strikes 'steps were taken to minimize civilian harm, including use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.' It was also stated that IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to work to eliminate any immediate threat.
