Air India to resume direct route between Tel Aviv and Delhi on Dec. 1
The Indian airline will operate five flights per week on the direct route, after stopping its activities in Israel with the outbreak of Operation Ferocious Arrow. Since the Oct. 7 massacre, the company has stopped and resumed its flights to Israel several times. Air India is the only airline operating a direct route between Israel and India, and when flights were stopped, passengers were forced to fly mainly through Gulf countries or Europe.

Indian airline Air India will resume on Dec. 1 the direct route between Tel Aviv and Delhi, and the route will operate at a frequency of five weekly flights. According to the report, the company has already returned to flying to Israel in February 2026, but stopped its activities again with the outbreak of Operation Ferocious Arrow.
Since the Oct. 7 massacre, the company has stopped and resumed its activities in Israel several times. It resumed the route in March 2024, stopped operations in April 2024, returned in May 2024 and suspended flights again in August 2024. In March 2025, it returned to Israel, and in May 2025 operations were stopped again following a Houthi missile strike near Ben Gurion Airport.
Air India is the only airline operating a direct route between Israel and India. According to the report, after the company stopped its flights to Israel, passengers to India were forced to rely mainly on flights through Gulf countries or on connections in Europe. Delhi also serves as a central transit point for onward flights throughout East Asia.
