Mauritius refused to approve Air Seychelles landing from Tel Aviv, flight cancelled

Air Seychelles informed customers in Israel this morning that Mauritius authorities refusing to receive aircraft arriving from Tel Aviv, so flight cancelled, and officials linked decision also to departure of delegation during Netanyahu speech at UN.

Air Seychelles informed customers in Israel this morning (Saturday) that Mauritius authorities refusing to receive aircraft arriving from Tel Aviv, so flight cancelled, according to representatives of Spirit World Productions. According to them, despite many efforts to obtain required approvals, Mauritius authorities did not grant approval for aircraft landing so flight cancelled.

At Spirit, reported that information in their possession raises concern that decision related to Mauritius's current stance toward Israelis arriving to country, against backdrop of situation and political dispute. According to report, officials close to decision said event connected also to departure of delegation during Netanyahu speech at UN.

Tali Yativ, CEO and owner of Spirit World Productions, said: 'We particularly sorry if indeed such decision made from political considerations, directly harming Israeli passengers, who have no connection to these decisions.' Company announced it working with Air Seychelles and relevant parties, and promised create personal contact with customers.

Just in June recently announced Air Seychelles returning to Israel and renewing its flights. Flights from Tel Aviv to Mahe island, central and largest in Seychelles, operating since month of August.
