משרד הבריאות דיווח כי בדיגום מים שנערך ב-16 בספטמבר 2026 נמצאו בכמה נחלים בצפון תוצאות חריגות המעידות על זיהום, החורגות מהרף המומלץ של 400 קולי צואתי ב-100 מ"ל.

משרד הבריאות התריע לציבור המטיילים ולמועצות האזוריות והמקומיות מפני תוצאות חריגות בבדיקת דיגום מים שנועדה לבחון את מצב הזיהום בנחלים בצפון. בבדיקות לחיידקים בדיגומים שנלקחו ב-16 בספטמבר 2026 נמצאו בכמה נחלים בצפון תוצאות החורגות מהמלצות משרד הבריאות (400 קולי צואתי ב-100 מ"ל), המעידות על זיהום במים.
