'The issue of crime is not the main reason I joined Ra'am, but we can deal with it,' said Segalowitz in response to the shooting. According to him, 'this is something that shouldn't happen in a proper state.'
On Aug. 31, 2026, Segalowitz joined the United Arab List headed by Mansour Abbas, and is the first Jewish candidate ever on Ra'am's Knesset list.
At a press conference held alongside Abbas upon joining the party, Segalowitz argued that the claim that partnership with Arab parties cannot be conducted after the Oct. 7 massacre is 'absurd,' and that he seeks to create a new political partnership.
