Netanyahu's defense lawyer alleged Mandelblit based his testimony on a memorandum read during preparation rather than his statements at the time. Mandelblit rejected the allegation concerning his use of the term integrity offenses and stood by his memory.
Channel 14's account of Tuesday's hearing said Hadad linked that term to the memorandum used during preparation. The lawyer alleged its wording was erroneous and absent from the visible documents. Mandelblit said he recalled using the term even if it did not appear in the transcripts shown.
The dispute also concerned redacted transcript passages and what material the defense received. An allegation that a memorandum influenced the witness's memory is not itself proof that anyone instructed him to lie. The reports reviewed contained no admission of such an instruction or court finding that one was given.
