Kylian Mbappe scored winning goal 1-0 in France victory over Turkey in Zinedine Zidane's managerial debut with national team, but injured left knee during move, released from squad and will undergo tests in Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane's debut as France national team coach ended Friday with 1-0 victory over Turkey in Nations League, from goal by Kylian Mbappe. Zidane said at end: 'He is not in good condition, he experienced sharp pain in left knee during kick. That does not look encouraging. He will return to Madrid. We will not take any risk.'

Defender Maxence Lecroix said that 'when we reached locker room we saw injury more serious than we thought.' Ryan Cherki was more optimistic and said: 'He is okay, he looks okay. We were concerned for him, but then we saw that is not something serious.'
