After ten Ophir awards and tens of thousands of viewers shedding tears of joy and applauding, "Independence" is clearly the most talked-about Israeli film in recent years (at least among those without the word "Shuli" in their titles). At the center of the film: a 14-year-old boy named Yair Mazor. And he doesn't want to be seen as just another cute kid: "Many times, child characters in films are simply 'the hero's son'..."
