Elbit Systems announced a contract worth approximately $235 million to supply EXTRA-MR rockets and PULS artillery systems to an unidentified European customer. The company said deliveries would take place over three years.
The company said the contract was signed under an agreement between Israel's Defense Ministry and the purchasing country's defense ministry. The country was not named in the announcement, so the order cannot be attributed to a specific state.
The order includes PULS launchers, medium-range EXTRA-MR rockets, additional rocket artillery platforms and logistical support. Elbit says the guided rocket is designed for ranges of up to 80 kilometers.
CEO Bezhalel Machlis described the award as reflecting demand for the company's systems. It is a contract to be performed over three years, rather than an announcement that the equipment has already been delivered. The details were checked against Elbit's original statement.
