Asian markets fell this morning, led by technology shares, while oil prices rose. In the trading snapshot published by Walla around 10 a.m., the Nikkei was down about 2% and South Korea more than 4%.
The report, updated at 10:01, put MSCI's Asia-Pacific index excluding Japan down 1.8%, while the Hang Seng lost more than 3%. The declines accompanied concern over artificial-intelligence investment costs and uncertainty in the Gulf.
In that same snapshot, Brent rose 2.59% to $111.64 a barrel and US crude gained 2.31% to $99.39. These are intraday figures from the report's update, rather than live quotes or closing prices.
