November fuel price not yet set as forecast points to increase

A forecast published today points to a possible rise of about 30 agorot per liter of gasoline at the start of November. The final price has not been set. A reduction in excise tax is due to expire early in the month; if it is not extended, a further increase is possible. A price above nine shekels is a conditional scenario, not an approved new rate.

According to a forecast published by Walla, gasoline could rise by about 30 agorot in early November. The final price has not been set, and a further increase depends on whether the excise-tax reduction is extended.

The report, as of Sunday, estimates an increase from 7.77 shekels per liter of 95-octane gasoline to slightly above eight shekels. This is an estimate dependent on fuel prices in the days before the update, not an official announcement of a new price.

According to the report, the current excise reduction remains valid until November 3. A price above nine shekels was presented as a scenario if the reduction is not extended, not as an approved price. The monthly price forecast and the future tax decision are separate issues.
