A report published today describes shortages of iPhone Duo launch stock at selected stores. Apple confirmed that in-store sales began on Friday, but did not publish overall sales figures in its launch announcement.
According to a Bloomberg report published by TheMarker, limited stock distributed to stores from New York to Beijing sold out within hours. This does not establish that the device sold out at every store worldwide, and no number of units sold was given.
In its official announcement, Apple described the start of foldable-phone sales on Friday and launch events in various cities. The reported starting US price is about two thousand dollars; this is neither an Israeli price nor a purchase offer.
