Haredi seminary students recruited to collect donations for draft evaders - managers will track their performance
After years of trying to close budget gaps in Torah institutions through overseas donations, rabbis have moved to a new initiative: about 18,000 seminary students have been recruited to collect donations. They will be identified by personal code and required to meet personal targets. According to the donation site, the monthly cost of supporting an unmarried yeshiva student is 400 shekels, and for a married Torah scholar about 700 shekels.
