Petition Against Likud Campaign Dismissed; Petitioner Ordered to Pay 8,000 Shekels
Central Elections Committee head Justice Noam Solberg summarily dismissed a petition filed by attorney and CPA Yaron Maeri against three videos posted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The court ruled that no cause for intervention was shown and that the use of equipment and property seen in the videos does not violate the prohibition on using public property for campaign purposes. Maeri was ordered to pay 8,000 shekels in legal fees.
