Turmoil in Bangkok: The dramatic letter that arrived at the Chabad house hours before the holiday
Following Thailand's authorities' refusal to renew the burial license at the Jewish cemetery in Bangkok, and the regional governor's demand to evacuate the site within days, an emergency delegation of the Zaka organization left for Bangkok immediately after Shabbat. In close cooperation with Chabad emissaries and rabbis of the Jewish community in Thailand, the four graves were transferred in their entirety to a new plot purchased beforehand, while maintaining their integrity.
