One dead, two seriously injured in Kiryat Gat Intel plant explosion
One person injured in a truck explosion at the Intel plant in Kiryat Gat died of his injuries at Soroka, and two others remain in serious condition. The explosion occurred while nitrogen was being transferred to tanks at the plant. According to Magen David Adom, two of the injured people underwent resuscitation at the scene. The circumstances remain under investigation, and teams assessed possible involvement of hazardous materials.

One person injured in a truck explosion at the Intel plant in Kiryat Gat died of his injuries at Soroka Medical Center. Two others remain in serious condition, and the circumstances are still being investigated.
The explosion occurred while nitrogen was being transferred from a truck to tanks at the plant. All three injured people were taken to Soroka after suffering burns. One of them subsequently died.
According to Magen David Adom, medical teams performed resuscitation on two of the injured people at the scene. Hazardous materials teams carried out monitoring and risk assessments in the area.
The Environmental Protection Ministry said its Southern District responders and the Ashkelon municipal environmental association arrived to examine the incident and its environmental consequences. The circumstances remain under investigation.
