Johannes Kongsnes Natland, a 19-year-old Norwegian, was sentenced to 20 years for conspiracy to murder. Police linked his handlers to the Foxtrot Network but found no direct Iranian link in this case.
According to Counter Terrorism Policing, Natland arrived in Britain in March 2025 and was arrested at a Huddersfield hotel with two firearms and ammunition. The intended victim was not identified. Police said they intervened hours before the planned killing.
Authorities said he was recruited by someone in the Swedish Foxtrot crime network, sanctioned over violence against Jewish and Israeli targets on Iran's behalf. They stressed that no evidence directly linked Iran to this specific plot. Natland denied intending to kill, but a jury convicted him.
