Following clashes at anti-government protests in Albania, Israel's Foreign Ministry advises Israelis to avoid crowds and confrontation zones, especially central Tirana and government buildings, and prepare for transport disruption.
In advice published Saturday, the ministry cited reports of stone-throwing, arson, property damage and roadblocks. It warned that further violence could erupt without advance notice.
Israelis visiting or planning to visit should remain alert, follow local authorities and the Israeli embassy, and leave immediately if disorder develops. They should avoid approaching demonstrations even when they appear peaceful.
