Police arrested ten suspects following violence in the West Bank, including weekend attacks on photographer Heidi Levine and European diplomats. Reports said the arrests were part of a joint operation with the Israeli military and Shin Bet.
According to The Independent, the ten suspects were arrested in a pre-dawn operation involving police, the military and Shin Bet. The arrests followed a series of weekend attacks; an arrest does not establish an individual suspect's involvement in a particular incident.
Levine, a photographer working for The Washington Post, required surgery after she was assaulted while covering an olive harvest on Friday. Diplomats from France, Belgium and Poland were also attacked on Saturday. The incidents prompted condemnations and calls for an investigation.
Maariv reported that the operation was called "Olive Leaf" and that right-wing activists criticized the arrests, alleging disproportionate action. Those are their allegations. The reports reviewed did not specify the suspects' identities or their individual roles in the attacks.
