US Ambassador to China: Trump offered President Xi Jinping to purchase American weapons

US Ambassador to China David Fredo said in an interview with Fox News that President Trump asked President Xi Jinping during their summit whether he is interested in buying American weapons. According to the report, this is an unusual offer to the leader of the United States' greatest military rival. Meanwhile, the US is delaying a weapons deal with Taiwan worth 14 billion dollars, despite American law requiring since 1979 that the government provide the island with weapons of a defensive nature.

US Ambassador to China David Fredo disclosed in a Fox News interview that President Donald Trump asked President Xi Jinping during their summit whether he is interested in buying American weapons.

US President Donald Trump asked China's President Xi Jinping during their summit whether he is interested in buying American weapons, US Ambassador to China David Fredo said Sunday in a television interview with Fox News.

According to the report, this is an unusual offer to the leader of America's greatest military, economic and diplomatic rival.

Meanwhile, the US is delaying a weapons deal with Taiwan worth 14 billion dollars, despite American law requiring since 1979 that the administration provide the island with weapons of a defensive nature.
