A sharp left turn: Liberman, is this what you call right?
Israel has already learned the hard way the price of surrendering security control and relying on what happens beyond the fence. Right now Liberman is proposing to bring Jordan into the picture and give it responsibility in areas A and B. You can argue about the future of Judea and Samaria, but after Oct. 7 there is a principle you cannot obscure: the IDF cannot hand off to others the responsibility for Israel's defense.
