Brigade 228 Fighters Located and Destroyed RPGs, Mortar Bombs and Kalashnikovs in Syria
Forces of Brigade 228 under the command of Division 210 completed three months of activity in the forward security zone in Syria, during which they interrogated dozens of suspects, made arrests and destroyed many terror infrastructure and weapons means. Fighter teams completed their fifth reserves rotation, and their place in the sector will be taken by forces of Brigade 2. The IDF said forces of Division 210 will continue to operate in Syria to maintain Israeli civilian security, particularly residents of the Golan Heights.

After three months of activity in the forward security zone in Syria, forces of Brigade 228 under the command of Division 210 completed their mission in the sector, during which they acted to remove threats and thwart terror infrastructure near the Israeli border.
During the recent months the forces carried out a series of targeted operations in the sector, interrogated dozens of suspects and made several arrests. According to the report, the forces located and destroyed much terror infrastructure and weapons means, including RPGs, mortar bombs and Kalashnikov-type weapons.
Activity in the forward security zone aims to reduce threats facing Israel from Syrian territory, prevent establishment of hostile entities in the area and maintain Israeli civilian security, particularly residents of the Golan Heights. The forces operated in several locations, conducted sweeps and acted against infrastructure that could serve terror entities in the sector.
Fighter teams of Brigade 228 completed their fifth reserves rotation in recent days, and their place in the sector will be taken by forces of Brigade 2. The IDF said forces of Division 210 will continue to operate in Syria in accordance with situation assessment, in order to remove threats and maintain Israeli civilian security, particularly residents of the Golan Heights.
