Houthis Take Control of Additional Key Islands in Red Sea, Tighten Grip on Shipping Routes
The rebels' seizure of the Greater Hanish and Lesser Hanish islands in the southern Red Sea will allow them to further threaten Saudi oil shipments passing through the area as an alternative to the shipping route blocked at Hormuz. According to a Houthi statement, they attacked a Saudi air force base.
