California governor signs legislation limiting teen use of social media

Among 13 laws signed by Governor Gavin Newsom are a ban on addictive features like infinite scrolling or automatic video playback for users under 16, as well as improved parental controls on children's use of chatbots. California is the first state in the U.S. to adopt such broad restrictions.
