A fabricated image circulates on social media that appears to have been filmed at the Oscars ceremony. The image is not authentic and was created using an artificial intelligence tool.
The wave of fake posts came following radical left activist Eliron Alia joining Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party, which supported the NAZA film by Yuval Avraham and Rachel Shur.
Alia has served as chair of the Directors and Producers Union since November 2024. He is a former Or Yehuda city council member and deputy mayor, director of Suspended and The Good City, social activist focused on at-risk youth and disadvantaged neighborhoods, and a member of the LGBTQ community who discussed coming out in an interview with Haaretz and a lecture on shame to pride.
The documentary NAZA won the jury prize Saturday night at the Venice Film Festival, according to Kan News. The film's title is derived from the Hebrew initials for cumulative damage, and its directors won an Oscar for Another Land.
